Rape Trauma Syndrome Rape Trauma Syndrome (RTS) is a form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that often affects rape survivors. Not all rape survivors will experience Rape Trauma Syndrome (RTS). Different women respond to the trauma of rape in different ways.
