About- Beverly Minor (Gospel Soloist). Beverly Minor is a Mississippi native and one of 11 children. As a child, she loved to listen to music, but never envisioned herself becoming a singer; she was very shy and did not believe that she was musically inclined. Upon graduating from college, Beverly relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. It was during this time that she was persuaded to join a singing group with two of her brothers and a cousin.
