Quiet Days We live in a pressure-cooker culture. There are so many calls on our time . . . and when we do get the chance to slip out of the rat race we instinctively create noise. We switch on the TV, fill our ears with iPod noise or reach for the computer mouse. Why? We tell ourselves it's for relaxation.
