About the Lake Erie Hurricanes The Lake Erie Hurricanes are a franchise that participates in the Northern Ohio Water Baseball Legaue. The team, owned by Alex Scheufler, participates in its inaugural season in 2009. The team has said that it is going to be devoted to being the most fan-friendly team in the league. The league, however, does not give very much competition. The only other teams in the league are the Sharon Stingers and the Medina Sharks.
