Part I

In the late 1990’s there were no singer which really appealed to the youth of Sri Lanka . Well, there were singing groups such as the Marians that were more in to rock than the traditional Sri Lanka singers, and singers such as Clarence Wijewardane, Rookantha Gooneethilake, Ahula and Kasun Kalhara whose lyrics and accent pierced in to the minds of the youth but apart from these there were no musicians that could really thrive in the first decade or two of the 21 st century.
