Lilac in the Meadow

Chapter 1 I was an indoor preppy old cat. Got fed all the time, toys, fancy things and wat- not. But that all changed one day. It was a sunny afternoon in may. but it was windy. The larger door was open, so the screen door was showing. I was watching a cardinal swoop down on a low branch and then fly past the window, but then i heard a low creeking sound.
