What was I thinking?

I signed up for National Novel Writers Month, affectionately known as NaNo. I am going to attempt to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. Yes, this is crazy. I am terrified. What was I thinking? But I am so excited, because I really want to know what happens in this novel that has been floating around in my head for a couple of years, banging into my consciousness and nudging me.
