Castillo De La Duquesa

A small fishing village actually, but the name derives from a renovated fortress originally built in the 1700's . Located on the coast in the middle of what was once a large Roman fishing village approx 1km to the west of the Puerto De La Duquesa. For the budding archaeologist you will find much to see of Roman history from excavations in 1989, mosaic floors, a Roman bath house and its original underfloor heating, a Roman villa and graveyard also survive.
