New Pope

The video New Pope was Petr Závorka’s response to the election of Joseph Ratzinger, using a live transmission from Czech Television. He even considered an internet link at the time the election was taking place. He placed a third eye on the Pope’s forehead, with several layers of symbolism. It is intended to capture the public’s divided attitude to the church and to indicate the significance of the church’s function and its vast influence, the conflict between its positive and negative aspects… More information...
