Madagascar’s Constitutional Court Backs Power Handover

Madagascar’s constitutional court has approved the transfer of power from President Marc Ravalomanana to opposition leader Andry Rajoelina despite questions concerning the legality of the handover. Ravalomanana resigned his presidency following military pressure and outspoken criticism from Rajoelina and his supporters.
