Sudip Kumar Chatterjee is a young and upcoming name in the world of TABLA. He started to leran tabls since last 12 years under the gracious guidance of PROF.NITIN CHATTERJEE (disciple of PADMABHUSAN PANDIT SAMTA PRASAD) and he also learns under the supervison of SHRI RUDRANARAYAN KALYANI(disciple of PROF.SANDIP DEB,PANDIT NANKU MAHARAJ,PADMAVIBHUSAN PANDIT KISHAN MAHARAJ) and Sudip also learns tabla now under the tutelege of the illustrious tabla maestro PANDIT SHANKAR GHOSH as well as Sudip is a student of M.A final year in Percussion Music in THE RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY. In the academic front Sudip is a Graduate(B.com) under THE UNIVERSITY OF CALCUTTA in 2005.

Sudip already has achieved a GOLD MEDAL in TABLA being selected 1st class 1st in an ALL INDIA MERIT TEST organised by NIKHIL BHARAT SANGEET SAMITY in 2008 and also he has achieved a SILVER MEDAL being selected 2nd in TABLA in another ALL INDIA MERIT TEST organised by SARBA BHARATIYA SANGEET O SANSKRITI PARISHAD in 2008,Sudip achieved "SANGEET RATNA"(M.MUS) award with 1st class in TABLA from BANGIYA SANGEET PARISHAD in 2009 as well as he is having so many achievements for his success in TABLA.

Sudip has already gathered in many well-known auditoriums in Kolkata and in other parts of WEST BENGAL like

THE CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY, BIRLA ACADEMY OF ART AND CULTURE, KALAKUNJ(KALAMANDIR),KOLKATA, CALCUTTA PRESS CLUB, SRI RAMAKRISHNA VEDANTA MATH ,RABINDRA BHAWAN(BURDWAN) and so on.
